What You Need To Know About Honeycomb Shades in Bonita Springs

What are honeycomb shades?
If you aren’t familiar with them, honeycomb shades get their name from their unique side profile, which looks just like a beehive. These shades are crafted from 100% polyester fabric designed to create air pockets that act as a thermal blanket for your windows. Because they trap heat before it enters your room, they are the most insulating option on the market. It’s a smart way to stay comfortable while helping your home run a bit more efficiently.
One of the best things about the shades we provide is the quality of the build. While some versions can lose their shape over time, the “cells” on our honeycombs are designed not to flatten out. The fabric is also treated to be stain and wrinkle-resistant, yet it remains Greenguard Certified for indoor air quality. When you want to enjoy the view, these shades have a very small “stack,” meaning they fold up tightly at the top of the window and stay out of your way.
Honeycomb shade design options
In terms of design, there is an option for every style. You can choose different pleat sizes—anywhere from a subtle 3/8″ to a bold 2″ hybrid pleat—and a wide variety of colors and light-filtering levels. We can even color-coordinate the headrail or wrap it in fabric for a completely seamless look. If you have specialty-shaped windows, like arches or angles, we can custom-fit them to match the rest of your home perfectly. While those specific shapes won’t open and close, they’ll look beautiful and provide the same great insulation.
How to operate honeycomb shades
Operating them is just as flexible. You can choose automation for your phone or remote, a motorized wand, or several cordless options that are both clean-looking and safe for homes with kids or pets. For sliding glass doors, we can even stack them vertically to the left, right, or center. No matter how wide the door is, the fabric only takes up about 6.5 inches when open, so it won’t block your walkway.

One features that let you have it all
My favorite feature to share with clients is the TriLight option. It’s essentially two fabrics in one window opening. You can have a sheer shade to look through during the day and a room-darkening shade to pull up for a better night’s sleep. It’s incredibly versatile, and since the price varies depending on the fabric you choose, there is a solution for almost every budget.

Another popular feature with honeycomb shades is the top-down, bottom-up feature. Allowing you to let light in from the top, while still having full privacy on the bottom.

Warranty
Our honeycomb shades come with a 7-year warranty on operational cords and a 5-year warranty on automation.
